Description of Work:
This One is For You conveys the power and ability the next generation has in order to not only make their voices heard but use their vote as a way to represent the voices of those who were unable to in the past or are oppressed in the present. Given their efforts and support, the younger generation is influenced and encouraged to be the change they wish to see in their society.
Artist’s Bio:
Jennifer Amador-Gonzalez is a full-time college student at the University of Texas at Austin under the College of Natural Sciences. She is a former 2018-2019 intern for The Career of Readiness and Empowerment of Women (C.R.E.W.) where she was introduced to projects and ideas that dealt with local and social issues in her community. Although not an experienced artist, she wishes to share her views and awareness of social issues faced as a Hispanic Latina.
