Join us for an engaging weekend with a community of people interested in co-creating better, more equitable futures.
FRIDAY (2PM - 8:30PM)
We’ll kick off the weekend on Friday with relationship and rapport-building activities to begin cultivating space and connections for brave conversations. An interactive discussion will follow, laying the foundation of Equity-Centered Community Design (ECCD), exploring personal identity + power and how they relate to humility and empathy.
SATURDAY (9AM - 6PM)
Saturday will take us deeper into ECCD using a local systemic challenge to explore the process in teams, practicing ideation, rapid prototyping, and testing + learning of your co-created approaches.
SUNDAY (9AM - 1PM)
Our final bit of time on Sunday will come full circle with team prototype sharing and feedback, then activities and discussion of integrating ECCD into your mindset with implications for future ongoing practice.
Please note that participation in this series does not indicate certification to formally train others in ECCD and is instead intended to support participants in cultivating this mindset and practice in themselves and others in their communities.
Participation does provide attendees the opportunity to contribute to and engage with the ongoing collection of ECCD implementation case studies post-Immersive. This collection and supportive community will begin to shape our collective understanding of successes and struggles to develop best practices.
Ticket purchase includes all program materials (Equity-Centered Community Design Field Guide, participant folder + worksheets); Friday night dinner, Saturday breakfast, Sunday breakfast, and snacks and beverages throughout weekend.
We’re excited to gather intergenerational folks from all Narrative & Livelihood Shapers (health and healthcare, media, education, and government/public service). For this reason, we ask that each organization send a maximum of 3 people* to promote a more diverse and representative attendance. In the interest of shifting power for co-creation, we also encourage organizations to send both leadership and staff members versus one or the other.
*If you are interested in a larger group engagement for your staff, please reach out about our Leaders for Community Action & Equity workshops.
